What is the PowerMAX™ used for? It's a stationary LED UV-A panel flood lamp used to light NDT inspection booths, fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle inspection, wash station inspection, and fluorescent particle screening. It's built for jobs that need even UV-A coverage over a large area, and it mounts overhead or in-line.

Who uses PowerMAX lamps? NDT technicians and QC teams in industrial, aerospace, and clean room environments who need fixed overhead lighting for inspection booths. They can switch between UV-A and white light with a rocker switch, so there's no need to swap lamps between steps.

How is the series organized? Two models: the PM-8B (8 UV-A LEDs and 2 white LEDs, up to 6,500 µW/cm²) and the larger PM-16B (16 UV-A LEDs and 4 white LEDs, up to 8,500 µW/cm²). Both include intensity control and ship as a complete kit with power cord, chain, and hooks.

What is the PM-16B used for? It's the larger overhead UV-A/white-light panel flood lamp (up to 8,500 µW/cm², 18 x 17 in coverage) used for NDT inspection of larger parts and wider work areas. It is ASTM E3022 compliant.

Can multiple units be combined for wider coverage? Yes. PowerMAX lamps can be ganged together using the RP-CGPM-01 accessory to extend the coverage area for larger inspection booths or in-line setups.

How does it compare to the EDGE series?

Both are overhead UV-A panel lamps, but PowerMAX adds a switchable white light LED and adjustable intensity (15%–100%), and the EDGE series has no white light. If your inspection workflow toggles between UV-A and white light, PowerMAX does it from a single fixture.

UV-A Intensity Range: 6500µW/cm2 at 15"(38cm).

CERTIFIED COMPLIANCE: ASTM E3022

Also available: the PM-8B model featuring 8 UV-A LEDs for smaller inspection areas or budget-conscious applications.
