What is the E Series used for? The E Series is Spectro-UV's line of professional-grade handheld UV lamps used for laboratory, forensic, and life-science applications: including rodent contamination detection, conservation work, gem and mineral inspection, and other fluorescence-based detection tasks. Unlike Spectro-UV's NDT lamps, the E Series isn't built for aerospace compliance inspection.

Who uses E Series lamps? Lab and life-science technicians, forensic investigators, conservators, and gemologists who need dual-wavelength (254 nm/365 nm) or UV-A-only illumination for detection and inspection work outside standard NDT.

How is the E Series organized? It comes in dual-wavelength models (ENF-series, with both 254 nm UV-C and 365 nm UV-A tubes) and single-wavelength models (EA-series, UV-A only), each available in multiple power levels (4W, 6W, 8W) to match the application.

What is the ENF-240C used for? It's a handheld dual-wavelength UV lamp (4W 365nm/4W 254nm with filter assembly) used for lab and life-science detection work, including rodent contamination inspection, conservation, and gem and mineral inspection.

Why does it have two wavelengths? The 365 nm (UV-A) tube is used for standard fluorescence inspection; the 254 nm (UV-C, short wave) tube is ideal for RUVIS (Reflected Ultraviolet Imaging System) applications, such as forensic latent print detection.

How does it compare to the EA-140? The ENF-240C offers both UV-A and UV-C wavelengths with a filter assembly; the EA-140 is UV-A only, at the same 4W power level and similar size.
