What is the AccuPRO™ used for? It's a rechargeable digital radiometer/photometer used to measure UV-A and visible light intensity from inspection lamps, verifying they meet the output required for fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle inspection.

Who uses the AccuPRO? NDT technicians and quality control teams doing day-to-day lamp verification who want a rechargeable meter rather than disposable batteries. The XP-2000A is the ASTM E3022/E2297-compliant version for regulated aerospace and NDT work; the standard XP-2000 covers ASTM E2297 only.

What's the difference between the AccuPRO and the AccuPRO Plus (XP-4000)? The standard AccuPRO (XP-2000/XP-2000A) measures UV-A and visible light with a dual-wavelength sensor. The AccuPRO Plus (XP-4000) adds a 3-in-1 sensor that also measures blue light, making it the pick for labs or applications that need blue-light readings alongside standard UV-A/visible measurement; it conforms to CEN/TR 16638 for that added range.

How often does my UV radiometer need to be recalibrated, and what happens if it's past due?  Most NDT specifications (including ASTM E1417 and ASTM E1444) require UV radiometers to be calibrated at a defined interval, typically every six months, unless your governing spec or customer requirements state otherwise. A meter that is past its calibration due date should be taken out of service and recalibrated before it is used for acceptance readings, even if it hasn't been used while in storage.

Does my radiometer come with a calibration certificate, and is it NIST-traceable or ISO/IEC 17025 accredited?  Yes. Every new Spectro-UV radiometer ships with a NIST-traceable calibration certificate tied to the unit's serial number.
