SPECTRO-UV RADIOMETER RECALIBRATION GUIDELINES

CERTIFICATES: Spectro-UV has been an ANSI/NCSL Z450-1 and ISO/IEC 17025 Certified Calibration Facility since 2018. This certification ensures our customers receive the highest level of service and accuracy for their equipment.

KEY REQUIREMENT: Meters consist of Sensors and Readout Units; they work in conjunction with each other, and we recommend both items be calibrated together for proper certification. Both components will receive matching date stickers with corresponding part and serial numbers.

RECALIBRATION REQUEST PROCESS:

  1. Complete the Recalibration Request form below
  2. Obtain an RMA# (Reference Material Authorization Number) (valid for 30 days)
  3. Prepare your equipment according to guidelines below
  4. Ship to Spectro-UV with your RMA# clearly marked

HOW TO REQUEST AN RMA#:

  1. Complete the Recalibration Request form below
  2. Include essential information:
    • Contact details – Name, email address, and phone number
    • Courier Account
    • Product model and serial number
    • A clear description of problem/issue
    • Specify annual or semi-annual calibration interval (default: semi-annual)
  3. NEXT STEPS: Your RMA# and return instructions will be emailed to you promptly.

PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT:

  1. Decontaminate all components per the Operator's Manual
  2. Bag all components to prevent recontamination
  3. Return all sensors and readout units together
  4. Note: Failure to decontaminate may result in rejection or additional charges.

SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Include RMA# on all documentation and packaging
  • Specify annual or semi-annual calibration interval (default: semi-annual)
  • Include complete billing and delivery address details
  • Clearly mark all packages as “Recertification”
  • All shipments must be prepaid unless authorized by us in writing
  • International shipments: duties and taxes responsibility of sender unless authorized by us in writing

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:

  • Mark all documents “RETURNED AMERICAN GOODS”
  • Specify any additional documentation requirements

RECALIBRATION PROCESS:

  1. Spectro-UV will evaluate your equipment promptly
  2. Turn-around time is 5 business days from the date of registration, or after approval of additional repairs (if required).
  3. If additional repairs are required, we will provide you with a revised quotation for your authorization to proceed.
  4. Please respond within 10 business days to approve costs.
  5. Upon approval, recalibration will be completed efficiently.

IMPORTANT: Items unclaimed for 6 months will be disposed of at our discretion.

INSTRUCTIONS

To send a product to us for Recalibration, you must first obtain a Return Material Authorization Number (RMA#) using the steps below.

RMA#’s are valid for 30 days, and should be requested when customer is ready to send the equipment to the factory.

Shipments will not be accepted without an RMA#.

All shipments to us are to be prepaid, unless specifically authorized in writing by us. International shipments shall be sent with Duties and Taxes to you, unless specifically authorized in writing by us.

STEP 1 – CONTACT US:
Contact us using the Recalibration Request form below.

 

Provide us will detailed information in the Problem Description section, including but not limited to:

  • Detailed Reason for Recalibration
  • Are you the Point of Contact? (Name, Email and Phone Number)
  • Product Description & Spectro-UV Model # *
  • Product Serial # *
  • Clearly Define Problem / Issue *
  • Standard Calibration is 6 Months unless otherwise specified by the customer *

*This will help us in the creation of an RMA# for you. Specify issue for each Product & Serial #.

 

STEP 2 – RMA# PROCESSED
Your request will be processed and an RMA# will be issued to you via E-mail along with instructions for returning the item(s) for Recalibration.
