OLX-365FL

OPTI-LUX™ Blacklight Flashlight Kit

OPTI-LUX™ 365 Series blacklight inspection flashlights such as OLX-365FL feature a powerful 365nm Ultraviolet (UV-A) LED light source coupled with a rugged anodized lamp body. They reduce user fatigue while providing an extremely uniform beam profile that surpasses those of more expensive lamps. Available in four models to suit your specific NDT needs: high-intensity or standard-intensity versions, each with or without an internal UV-A pass filter.

  • UV-A Intensity Range: 4500µW/cm2 at 15"(38cm)
  • Visible light: 0.3 foot-candles (3.2 lux)
  • UV-A coverage area at minimum 1,000 μW/cm²: 3.25 in (8.3 cm)

Power Specifications

  • Power Requirements: One 3.7V 2200mA/Hr lithium-ion battery (rechargeable)
  • Run Time: 4 hours (continuous)
  • Charge Time: 4 hours (one or two batteries)
  • Charging Cradle: Two-battery capability with AC and DC cord sets (also available in 100-120V, 230V & 240V versions)

What is the OPTI-LUX™ 365 Series used for? It's a line of compact, rechargeable UV-A inspection flashlights used for fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle inspection in tight, confined spaces. Each lamp ships with a Certificate of Light Output documenting its wavelength and intensity measurements, though the series isn't ASTM/ISO/OEM compliance-certified.

Who uses OPTI-LUX flashlights? NDT technicians who want a bright, uniform beam and instant-on operation in a lightweight (4.6 oz), one-handed flashlight, suited to general inspection work rather than compliance-critical aerospace jobs.

How is the series organized? Four models split along two axes: high intensity (10,000 µW/cm²) vs. standard intensity (4,500 µW/cm²), and with or without an internal back light filter.

What is the OLX-365FL used for? It's a standard-intensity (4,500 µW/cm², 3 in coverage) UV-A flashlight with a clear filter, used for everyday fluorescent inspection where maximum intensity isn't required.

How does it compare to the OLX-365? Lower intensity (4,500 vs. 10,000 µW/cm²) but wider coverage (3 in vs. 2.25 in) — better for general-purpose inspection over a broader area rather than a concentrated high-output beam.

Does it carry compliance certification? No, Certificate of Light Output only, same as the rest of the series.
