These sensors require the following readout unit to function and cannot be calibrated without it:

Disclaimer: Sensors purchased as standalone items are supplied uncalibrated and performance specifications are not guaranteed until calibration is completed. To receive a factory-calibrated,
specification-verified unit, sensors must be ordered together with a new XR-1000 readout unit. Customers with an existing XR-1000 may return it alongside the new sensor to Spectro-UV for combined sensor-and-unit
calibration, subject to applicable service fees.

What is the XS-300 used for? It's a UV-B sensor detector (280–320 nm) used with the AccuMAX readout unit to measure UV-B light output for laboratory and specialty UV applications.

Is this sensor used for standard NDT inspection? No, standard NDT inspection uses UV-A (365 nm). The XS-300 is for UV-B-specific measurement needs outside typical fluorescent penetrant or magnetic particle inspection.

Does it work without a readout unit? No, it requires a compatible AccuMAX readout unit to display a measurement.
