Disclaimer: Sensors purchased as standalone items are supplied uncalibrated and performance specifications are not guaranteed until calibration is completed. To receive a factory-calibrated,
specification-verified unit, sensors must be ordered together with a new XR-1000 readout unit. Customers with an existing XR-1000 may return it alongside the new sensor to Spectro-UV for combined sensor-and-unit
calibration, subject to applicable service fees.

What is the XS-450 used for? It's a bilirubin-range sensor detector (420–480 nm) used with the AccuMAX readout unit to measure light output for bilirubin-related life science applications, such as phototherapy equipment measurement.

Is this sensor used for NDT inspection? No, it's a specialty life-science sensor, not an NDT inspection tool. It measures a different wavelength range than the UV-A sensors used for fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle inspection.

Does it work without a readout unit? No, it requires a compatible AccuMAX readout unit to display a measurement.
