AccuELITE™ XP-3000 Radiometer/Photometer

NEVER STOP MEASURING - Revolutionary 24+ hour continuous operation with 2-hour rapid recharge eliminates costly downtime and missed critical readings.

The AccuELITE™ is a digital radiometer/photometer used to continuously monitor UV-A and visible light intensity on high-speed or continuous production lines without interrupting measurement for battery changes. Quality control teams in high-throughput manufacturing use it where missing a reading due to power loss isn't acceptable, its 24+ hour battery life and 5-10 Hz response are built for that. The XP-3000A carries full ASTM E3022/E2297 compliance; the XP-3000 covers ASTM E2297 only.

What is the AccuELITE™ used for?

It's a digital radiometer/photometer used to measure UV-A and visible light intensity from inspection lamps, confirming they're producing sufficient output for fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle inspection.

Who uses the AccuELITE?

Quality control teams on high-speed or continuous production lines who can't afford a measurement gap, its 24+ hour battery life and 5-10 Hz response are built for round-the-clock industrial operations rather than occasional spot-checks.

What's the difference between the XP-3000 and XP-3000A?

Both share the same measurement ranges, battery life, and response speed. The XP-3000A carries full ASTM E3022 and ASTM E2297 compliance; the standard XP-3000 is ASTM E2297 only.

How often does my UV radiometer need to be recalibrated, and what happens if it's past due?  Most NDT specifications (including ASTM E1417 and ASTM E1444) require UV radiometers to be calibrated at a defined interval, typically every six months, unless your governing spec or customer requirements state otherwise. A meter that is past its calibration due date should be taken out of service and recalibrated before it is used for acceptance readings, even if it hasn't been used while in storage.

Does my radiometer come with a calibration certificate, and is it NIST-traceable or ISO/IEC 17025 accredited?  Yes. Every new Spectro-UV radiometer ships with a NIST-traceable calibration certificate tied to the unit's serial number.

Q: Which UV radiometer has the longest battery life? The Spectro-UV AccuELITE XP-3000 delivers 24+ hours of continuous operation on four rechargeable batteries, with a 2-hour rapid recharge using onboard charging. It's built for shifts, multi-day field work, and production environments where a dead meter means missed readings.

Q: What radiometer works best for continuous UV monitoring on a production line? For production
and continuous manufacturing, look for fast response and long battery life. The Spectro-UV AccuELITE XP-3000 updates readings at 5-10 Hz, so it keeps pace with moving parts and changing light, and runs 24+ hours per charge. It measures UV-A irradiance (0-100 mW/cm²) and visible illuminance (0-5,382 lux) with better than ±5% accuracy, NIST traceable.

Q: Is there a rechargeable radiometer designed to meet ASTM E3022 and ASTM E2297? Yes. The
Spectro-UV AccuELITE XP-3000A is designed to meet ASTM E3022 and ASTM E2297, the standards that govern UV-A lamps and UV-A/visible light meters used in fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle inspection. It is equipped with a 0.5-inch sensor aperture and runs 24+ hours on rechargeable batteries.

Q: What does the response rate (Hz) of a radiometer mean, and why does it matter? Response rate is how many times per second a radiometer updates its reading. A faster rate gives near real-time readings as you move the sensor or as light conditions change, which helps when scanning a lamp's beam or checking
parts in motion. The Spectro-UV AccuELITE XP-3000 updates at 5-10 Hz, compared with 2 Hz on the Spectro-UV AccuPRO.

Q: What is the difference between the AccuELITE XP-3000 and XP-3000A? The Spectro-UV AccuELITE XP-3000 is designed to meet ASTM E2297. The XP-3000A is designed to meet both ASTM E3022 and ASTM E2297 and is equipped with a 0.5-inch sensor aperture. Both offer the same 0-100 mW/cm² UV-A and 0-5,382 lux visible ranges, 5-10 Hz response, and 24+ hour battery life.

Q: What is the difference between the AccuELITE and the AccuPRO? Both Spectro-UV meters are rechargeable and measure UV-A (0-100 mW/cm²) and visible light (0-5,382 lux) with better than ±5% accuracy referenced to NIST standards. The AccuELITE adds 24+ hour battery life, 2-hour rapid recharge, and a faster 5-10 Hz response (the AccuPRO updates at 2 Hz). The AccuPRO line includes the
XP-4000, which also measures blue light.

Q: What is the difference between the AccuELITE and the AccuMAX? The Spectro-UV AccuELITE is built for continuous use, with 24+ hour rechargeable battery life and 5-10 Hz response. The Spectro-UV AccuMAX is Spectro-UV's gold-standard meter, with interchangeable sensor detectors for UV-C, UV-B, UV-A, bilirubin, and luminance, and runs on two 9V alkaline batteries. Both measure UV-A and visible light with better than ±5% accuracy, NIST traceable.

Q: What is the Spectro-UV AccuELITE XP-3000? The Spectro-UV AccuELITE XP-3000 is an advanced digital radiometer/photometer kit for measuring UV-A irradiance and visible light in NDT, aerospace, inspection, lab, and production environments. It combines 24+ hour continuous battery life, 2-hour rapid recharge, 5-10 Hz real-time response, and better than ±5% accuracy (NIST traceable).

Q: How accurate is the AccuELITE radiometer? The Spectro-UV AccuELITE has better than ±5% accuracy with NIST-traceable calibration. A band-pass interference filter and excellent cosine response help it read UV-A and visible light accurately, including light arriving at an angle.

Q: How long does the AccuELITE battery last and how fast does it charge? The Spectro-UV AccuELITE runs 24+ hours of continuous operation on four rechargeable batteries and recharges in about 2 hours with onboard charging. User-defined power saving settings help stretch battery life further.

Q: Does the AccuELITE have a peak hold function? Yes. The Spectro-UV AccuELITE has a one-touch PEAK function with reset, so you can capture the highest UV-A or visible reading and start a new measurement with one button.

Q: What display and language options does the AccuELITE have? The Spectro-UV AccuELITE has a backlit LCD with a 4-digit auto-ranging display. Display language is user-selectable at any operational level, with English, French, German, and Spanish available.

Q: Is the AccuELITE rugged and water-resistant? The Spectro-UV AccuELITE has a sealed multi-wavelength sensor in a water-resistant housing and a protective rubber housing on the meter for better grip and to help prevent accidental breakage.

Q: What comes in the AccuELITE XP-3000 kit? The Spectro-UV AccuELITE XP-3000 kit includes the meter and sensor, a water-resistant USB cable with adapter, a rubber boot, and a carrying case.
