Disclaimer: Sensors purchased as standalone items are supplied uncalibrated and performance specifications are not guaranteed until calibration is completed. To receive a factory-calibrated,
specification-verified unit, sensors must be ordered together with a new XR-1000 readout unit. Customers with an existing XR-1000 may return it alongside the new sensor to Spectro-UV for combined sensor-and-unit
calibration, subject to applicable service fees.

What is the XS-254 used for? It's a UV-C sensor detector (230–280 nm) used with the AccuMAX readout unit to measure UV-C light output for laboratory, life science, and specialty UV applications.

Is this sensor used for standard NDT inspection? No, NDT fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle inspection uses UV-A (365 nm), not UV-C. The XS-254 is for applications outside standard inspection work, such as UV-C disinfection or research measurement.

Does it work without a readout unit? No, it requires a compatible AccuMAX readout unit (XR-1000, XRP-3000, or XRP-3000A) to display a measurement.
